Vertex means 'the highest point'

The word vertex means ‘the highest point’ or the ‘point where two intersecting lines meet’. Our village sits high above Yanchep and is a sight to behold.

No longer just a holiday town, Yanchep is a developing urban centre where facilities include both Primary and Secondary schools, child care centres and restaurants, all just minutes away by car.

Yanchep District High School caters for Kindergarten to Year 10 and Yanchep Beach Primary caters for Kindergarten to Year 6. Future education facilities include a university and TAFE campus.

Plans are underway to transform this area into a vibrant satellite city of approximately 50,000 residents in the future. This means a future rail link, a medical precinct with a hospital, a central business district and an employment precinct will all be a short drive away.

With everything already at arm’s reach, Vertex is the perfect place to build your first home, raise a family or retire by the seaside

Fishing, swimming and great surf are right here

There’s also no shortage of outdoor activities nearby. Yanchep National Park – with it's amazing caves, walking trails, native wildlife, a lake and woodlands and 9 hole golf course – will captivate the whole family.

Yanchep Lagoon is a popular swimming and snorkelling hole for local residents and there are plenty of other great fishing and swimming spots at Yanchep Beach and Fisherman’s hollow. And, if you are into surfing, be sure to ask the locals about the best surf breaks in and around Yanchep.

Fun in the great outdoors

Vertex has been designed to ensure the focus remains firmly on creating fun outside. Features will include kids’ bike route so children can ride to school, beautiful open spaces for people to explore and an adventure playground.

A dramatic knoll, along with treed hollows and established stands of Tuarts and Parrot Bushes to provide shady spots for rest and recreation just some of the landscapes planned for Vertex.

Meet Vertex Future Residents

2016 will be an exciting year at Vertex as we welcome the first residents to this vibrant new community in Yanchep. Meet some of the residents who will call Vertex home.

Kim Hemmings

Kim Hemmings registered as a LWP Advantage member and snapped up a homesite at Vertex on the first day of the first land release.

Kim has purchased a 385sqm lot just a short distance from planned public open space and cannot wait to build her second home.

She has selected a single storey, three bedroom, two bathroom design with double sized bedrooms, a theatre and study and will live with her two children and two cats.

“I chose this development because it was brand new, I really liked the name and the prices were great!” Kim explained.

“I like that it doesn’t feel like suburb living and there are a lot of things to do close by including the lagoon and Yanchep National Park.”

While affordability and location attracted Kim to Vertex, she said she was also impressed by the future plans for Yanchep.

“We currently live in Merriwa but I am renting and have gone back to work full-time so the kids and I can have something for the future,” she explained.

“We are very excited about our new adventure and can’t wait to watch our dream come true!”

Sharelle Plater

Sharelle Plater purchased a 396sqm homesite during the Stage 1A online release and says the price was a huge selling point for her.

“August 1 2015 was the first day the land was available online and as I had registered to become a LWP Advantage member a few days earlier, I was able to log in on the release date and make my selection,” she said.

Currently already residing in Perth’s Northern Suburbs, the first homebuyer says she is excited to be building a decent sized 4 bedroom, two bathroom home with a big alfresco to entertain and perhaps sharing it with a “puppy or two”.

“I have always lived north of the river since moving to Perth from country NSW 15 years ago and love that Vertex is fairly close to the beach,” she said.

“The lot sizes at Vertex are also very generous compared to any other north of the river estate I have seen & I don’t believe there is any coastal land north of the river on the market for this price.”

The beachy feel and the fact that Vertex is one of Yanchep's newest estates - yet feels a world away from the hustle and bustle of the city - were drawcards for Sharelle.

“The estate feels like a small city of its own, particularly with the new shopping centre, but at the same time, the Yanchep Lagoon is close by and the beaches are beautiful,” she said.

“I am looking forward to being away from the loud, cluttered feeling of the Perth suburbs, feeling free and enjoying space right next to the amazing beach!”
