Katherine's Landing at Huntlee

Local Colour.

The ‘Landing’ is a nod to the private air strip built by a local farmer which has been retained as a ridge-top park in Huntlee’s first village.

At Katherine’s Landing, the layout and architectural theme celebrates the history and landscape of the Hunter, making use of rural materials such as metal, weatherboard, stone and timber.  Additional elements such as porches, pitched roofs, gables and awning windows combine to create a cohesive and charming neighbourhood. Historic icons are being preserved and the region’s stories will be showcased along the network of heritage trails.

Rich Tapestry of History.

Huntlee’s first village is Katherine’s Landing, named in honour of the pioneers who helped shape the region.

The ‘Katherine’ part of Katherine’s Landing commemorates Katherine Busby, the sister of James Busby who is recognised as the Father of Australian Winemaking. Katherine and her husband, William Kelman, managed Busby’s “Kirkton” vineyard near Branxton, the first commercial vineyard in NSW.

About LWP Property Group.

At Huntlee, we are doing more than developing land.

We are developing high quality lifestyles by creating better places for people to live, work and play. We are bringing a new community to life.

The community-building model we are introducing at Huntlee is the same as the national and international award-winning model we have employed in other locations.

One of the key elements in the success of Huntlee will be the comprehensive Community Plan. The plan sets out what kind of community our residents want and what needs to happen to see their vision realised. It identifies specific strategies and time frames in the evolution of the town.
