Facilities

At The Glades, you’re never far from the amenities and services you’ll need. Within the estate there’s a new district high school, Byford Secondary College that caters for Years 7-10 and offer up to Year 12 by 2018. There’s also the private Catholic school, Salvado College that currently goes from K-Year 2 but will offer a full K-12 education over coming years. Woodland Grove Primary School (public) is now open.

The Strand Cafe in the village centre is now open and proving extremely popular. The balance on construction is well underway with an opening mid-2017. These will bring a supermarket, major medical precinct, and more than 15 speciality shops ranging from gourmet and fresh food, to beauty and fashion services.

Byford is just minutes away, with schools, childcare centres, shops, medical facilities and other essential services as well as numerous sporting and social groups. There’s an IGA supermarket and a brand new Coles and other speciality stores now open.

Sixty hectares of The Glades is natural bush and landscaped parkland, with walking trails and cycle paths as well as playgrounds and fitness stations featuring the latest in outdoor gym equipment.

The Glades Village Centre Construction well underway

Developers of The Glades Village Centre at Byford commenced work on this boutique commercial development late last year with the first stage of the Village Centre being a licensed café (The Strand Cafe now open).

The second stage will see construction of the shopping precinct at The Glades, which site works commenced early last year with a opening mid-2017.  

Lakeside Plaza Byford, as the centre will be known, will eventually include a supermarket, major medical precinct, over 15 speciality stores including gourmet and fresh food, health and beauty, restaurants, fashions and services.

The group are seeking expressions of interest in commercial leasing.  Initial leasing interest has been strong with many major tenants already committed, including the medical centre, full line discount pharmacy, child care centre, and restaurants which will add to the vibrant flavour of Byford.  There are limited opportunities available now from 75sqm for retail and convenience services, to add to the strong and diverse tenant mix.
